Message Wouldn't it be much easier to start from scratch than to try to make something existing work? Civics often use HIDs in their own non-projector housings, using a kit similar to the Kaixen or Catz that plug right in. Aftermarket "BMW" housings are made using distance specs (which aren't precise to tenths of a millimeter, I'm sure, but are precise to some extent, at least to a half inch or so, wouldn't you think? Just an observation) to fit a bulb the specific distance away from the lens in the housing in which it's mounted. At least some r&d would have to go into it to insure the lens would project the bulb to a usable extent.

My opinion is solely based upon the research I did to figure out why my retrofit was not working. I'm not an expert, I'm just posting what I've read and come to understand over time in dealing with these headlights. I don't know if I have any wall shots of my JDM housings (old style), which had the best cutoff and ironically I no longer own, but I can get one of the USDM housings sometime in the next week or so, whenever my car is out of the shop.

Cheers,
JBrobst
